Meaning 8 circles network commercially live against target of 22 circles, 14 circles more to launch to reach target of pan india rollout presence (22 out of 22)..
Although out of this 14 circles maximum circles are soft launched (network is ON) but yet to see commercial launches..
Commercially launched circles (8): Tamilnadu inc Chennai, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Mumbai, Maharashtra inc Goa, Madhya Pradesh incl Chattisgarh.
Circles yet to go conmmercially live (14): Delhi, Assam, Bihar incl Jharkhand, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, North East, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarpradesh East, Uttarpradesh West incl uttarkhand, Kolkata, West Bengal.
I am told TATA DOCOMO targets on or before Dec 31, 2009 for achieving score of 22 out of 22.
TATA DOCOMO is taking a huge time for rollout, considering that they are building this GSM network almost since 2 yrs now & that too on maximum exsisting network resources!! A similar feat achieved by reliance GSM rollout in flat less than an year!!!
Miles to go TATA DOCOMO!! Gear up, do not get hogged up in past laurels & get going 14 more to achieve in less than 4 months as per your target!!
I know network is almost ready & too close to achieve this target!!
