Looking to replace my nexus 4. Considered the moto X 2014 and nexus 6. Flipkart is running a 10k exchange offer on the nexus 6, while this still results in the nexus 6 being costlier than the X (34 vs 30k), at least I won't have to deal with getting rid of the nexus 4. Also, I guess I'll have trouble handling the nexus 6 because of the large display.

OnePlusOne is another option.

I'm guessing the Moto Maxx/Droid Turbo will be costlier than the nexus 6, so that's out.

Moto X 2014 definitely! If you are ok with non-expandable storage! Though I gave up on this model because of the smaller battery. But then all reviews say that it is not a big deal. If you are happy with Nexus 4 battery life, Moto X 2014 should be just fine!

Oppo of course, if you want to save on money that can be spend on wood back (would most likely need to be imported) :D

Right. Battery isn't a major concern per se, but right now the nexus 4 gets me around 8-9 hours with 2hrs screen on time, which is kinda bad
:p

Would the Moto X be something similar?

Nexus 4 still has potential. Just get the battery replaced. I got it replaced for around 900 bucks few months back from LG service centre. They replaced it in few minutes and gave the handset back to me. It's used by my sis now.

Hmm. Another issue is that the earpiece seems to have got damaged somehow. I can barely hear the person on the other hand even with the volume setting at max.

But you're right, I'll take it to the service center and see what they have to say.
