Android phone for ~30k

Looking to replace my nexus 4. Considered the moto X 2014 and nexus 6. Flipkart is running a 10k exchange offer on the nexus 6, while this still results in the nexus 6 being costlier than the X (34 vs 30k), at least I won't have to deal with getting rid of the nexus 4. Also, I guess I'll have trouble handling the nexus 6 because of the large display.

OnePlusOne is another option.

I'm guessing the Moto Maxx/Droid Turbo will be costlier than the nexus 6, so that's out.

Ended up buying the htc one e8 primarily because of the larger battery than the X and CDMA support.

Flipkart comments of the X's screen durability were a bit frightening..

Arrey! I forgot. Ordered from Amazon. The price had dropped to 29k or so for a bit and it showed only 1 piece in stock, plus I was at croma checking out the phone IRL. I hope you'll excuse me

Right. Now, I'm having second thoughts about buying an HTC on an impulse..

Should I cancel it, and get Moto X 2014 or even the Z2? The screen on the Moto X worries me, is all. This is confusing.

Z2 would be a good purchase. Water proof and all. Moto X would be my own choice

Here's the thing. Dad wanted to get a new phone too and was keen on the Nexus 6. He's getting the Z2 for around 20k at the local Sony store in exchange for his old phone, whereas I can get the nexus 6 from flipkart for 34k. Then, we do a phone swap

Seems like a decent deal to me. Is the Z2 still a capable phone?

yup. two of my contacts got it on my recommendation just check the display before going for it. i think it uses an inferior technology but end result is not bad because of Sony's bravia engine or whatever! and it is getting lollipop. though future updates are hard to imagine. update rollout is incredibly slow so that is another issue.

z2 it is..for now Lollipop is more or less guaranteed, though I've read Sony's track record is decent(?)
