Anyone got Reliance Big TV DTH?

Yes, BIG TV lose signals during dark clouds and heavy rain (when TS doesnt lose as i see my neighbours' watching it)Power Consumption if you leave STB power ON is - 1unit / month.

If BigTv signal is lost for dark clouds without raining,then if it slightly drizzles also the signal will get lost or only if there is heavy rain,then the signal is lost?:S

Well... when there is heavy rain (after dark cloud) then its a good thing because then the clouds get cleared very soon.Following are the situations of how it happens:[1] Cloudy - NO LOSS[2] Partly Cloudy - NO LOSS[3] Very Cloudy - SOMEWHAT (for few seconds only and resume back immediately)[4] Dark Cloudy - YES (SIGNAL LOSS happens here and doesn't resume back soon - sometimes we have to turn off STB and turn on again manually)[5] Drizzles - NO LOSS (As it just drizzles without dark clouds)[6] Rain - NO LOSS (without dark clouds)[7] Rain - YES (if dark clouds and it just rains slowly then it loses signals for a while)[8] Heavy Rain - NO (as the clouds get cleared very soon - so heavy rain is always better to stabilize signals)[9] Extreme Heavy Rain - SOMEWHAT (as there are plenty of clouds get cleared but more clouds come again - but anyway it gets cleared too)[10] Extreme Foggy - Doesnt lose signals but channels' pictures somewhat gets sticky (just like how a scratched part of DVD plays a video - stops sometimes and plays itself)So, those are 10 different conditions when it does/doesn't happen. Hope this would be a very useful info for everyone to understand how it works in rainy season.:cool2:

Brief information:thumb: .How abt the picture quality?That's the main thing i need.It is really in Dvd Quality?Picture quality is more than other dth players?Also can u see any pixelations on the picture?I mean that u can't find a single pixelations on the screen,even if the black color is shown on the picture?:cool2::yahoo::thumbsup::dance:

picture quality is not dvd quality.whether picture quality is better then other dth players yes it is.u can see pixelation but its not much.

guys, can someone tell me whether big tv goes off during heavy rains?
Hardly for me and I can say it is 50% better then Dish TV.:cool2:

Oh,so BigTv also has pixelations.:madness: Why none of the dth in India are giving the real dvd quality picture like DirecTv and DishNetwork in USA?They even give more than Dvd Quality that is High Definition.:thumb:

high definition quality comes when u view HD content, on SD content or 4:3 u can't expect HD picture quality, hence no DTH provider can provide that until and unless. the content which is produced is changed to HD format:thumb:

I dont see much pixellations now - it is 90% better than TS and DishTV.....
