How can I reply to it?

Thanks in Advance,

yes... MTNL wont ask such things and on DSL line virus wont affect much as rate wud be limited plus it wudnt be able to affect LAN as its just P2P network only.

I have not received any such email. It looks very suspicious. They would never use a gmail email id. They would not ask such info via email as all these details are already available in their database. I suggest you forward this to their customer care AND a cc to the GM as the cust care would not care. I think you should inform MTNL that there is such a scam going on in their name, hopefully they will warn other subscribers. Infact if you provide the info in the header of the email they can trace from where it came. If you are intrested even u can trace from where the email originated. its very easy to fake email id. so just ignore the email.

As reponsible broadband users we should bring such instances to the notice of the authorities, so that others can be warned. There could be many customers who may fall for this trick. Here are the email-id's. You can also find them on this site.
GM (Broadband) [email protected]
GM (Vigilance) [email protected]
