Anyone tried the bsnl broadband 8 Mbps Combo 2799 ?

Have anyone got static ipaddress with this plan as Bsnl offers?
Should we apply for it separately?

I have got a static IP from BSNL. When I applied, I was told that I need to give a separate request. I gave a simple letter and they allocated a static IP.

Thanx sandeep for the reply, i will soon apply for that.
i got my plan changed to 8mbps combo from today.
but downstream speed seems limited by modem to 2046kbps.
(attainable speed is shown as 24mbps)

can anyone with 8mbps confirm the downstream speed on device info page?
how to get the downstream speed changed?
tried changing the adsl+, g.dmt etc....didnt help
