Today morning my iPhone screen popped out!!

I pressed it and it went in again.

But on one edge its still showing 1mm gap.

I believe my iphone battery is bloating. Or is it a feature of iOS 11 (which is draining my battery too fast and causing it to heat up and bloat)

I used iPhone just for 2yrs and battery is dead. (uses up 1% per minute of screen on)

I used my Sony Live with walkman for 5 years. Battery still perfect.

Btw where to get it replaced (official OR unofficial store?). What would be approximate cost?

If you like being adventurous and have nothing to lose if the phone is damaged, you can replace the battery yourself. Buy a spare battery and necessary tools from AliExpress and look up battery replacement videos on YouTube.

STOP USING THE PHONE!! SWITCH OFF AND TAKE IT TO Apple SERVICE CENTER! DON'T POP THE BATTERY BACK IN! IT MAY PUNCTURE AND BURST INTO FLAMES

imo batteries from aliexpress can be iffy. Just get the battery replaced from official service centers or mobile shops which are known for Apple repairs

Walkman and smartphones have very different expectations from battery. no fair to compare both of them imo.

You can get battery replaced from official service centers listed on Apple site. But they're little bit costly compared of other mobile repair shops

I know battery can blast... but screen went back in with slight pressure.

Makes me think that phone must have fallen by someone and screen popped out.

On next charge I will keep phone away and see if screen pops out again.

Ok got confirmation. Phone had fallen in the morning from about 4ft height when I wasnt home!

Feeling safe now!!
