Nope, i will frankly admit that my resentment and bias against Airtel are based entirely on what i have gleaned from this forum, and their infernal FUPs. Also the fact that they did not have the feasibility to provide me a connection when i first inquired about it 4 years ago. Sour grapes, you might as well say, but it turned out for the better as far as i am concerned.

hehe. trust me. anyone who has used airtel would appreciate the quality of service support they have been providing for years. it might not be as good now as it used to be. but it still is an industry benchmark imo.

dont even think of Tikona............. they are worst....

I know bro !! But I think it would be still better than Tata Broadband and Hathway :(

No other option left with me :warning2:

Really Sushubh? I think you are being unduly harsh, granted that Reliance has a very aggressive door-to-door approach in areas where it's feasible for them to provide a connection but it is my experience that once they do so, they certainly live up to their promises as far as consistency of service and speeds are concerned. There is of course the sheer incomprehension (feigned or real), of the customer support team when you report the occasional downtime but apart from that their unlimited plans are truly so in the low to middle range speed packages. I don't think Airtel has a leg to stand on when comparing prices and unbilled data usage, or even reliability for that matter.

nope Reliance never lives to their promises... whether its in share market...or ...their so called internet speeds.....nd so called non unlimited plans labeled as unlimited ones......they are just doping innocent customers.. ...and spoiling internet name in India....

( offc there are bound be some lucky ones who dont get these typical Reliance related problems )

7. Services Opted :Landline and Broadband
8. Rate Plan: :WCCI999 and WCCI999

i hope this one is the unlimited 1mbps plan :P

with new FUP airtel is just fine for now....... 4MBps at 2k is nt bad at 150 GB

i wanted to go for that plan. asses do not provide 4mbps in my area. so i pay just Rs. 100 less but get half the speeds.

Yep, it is my guess however that if you opted for any higher speeds and were a heavy downloader, you would be milking too much out of the connection and running the risk of having your connection disrupted more often than not. Now that's fair, innit?

if i am on a higher speed plan, i am of course going to pay for it. this is how it works. the problem is that they can offer 999 rupee 1mbps plan. whats wrong in providing 1998 rupee 2mbps plan? the funny thing is that upload speeds on both the plans are likely to be same.
