MRP of phones is always higher than what you pay for in retail stores. this is applicable to almost all consumer electronics. i just bought a canon printer. MRP is listed on canon site at around 4250. my dealer charged 3900 for it. if i had gone to nehru place, i bet i could have gotten it for even lower price tag

was freaking annoyed with the old HP piece of shite i had for a couple of years now. one printout required massive effort with me hitting the printer with a mukka several times.

i hate this in all-in-one printers
"You need to install all black and colour ink tanks or ink cartridges whether you perform mono or color printing. If any ink tank or ink cartridge is not installed, an error occurs, and printing, scanning or copying cannot proceed until a new ink tank or ink cartridge is installed.Depending on the paper used or the print settings, color ink may be used even when you print a mono document. When any ink colour has run out, you need to replace the ink cartridge to continue printer operations."

crap. i had no idea i need to have color cartridge to printout in greyscale as well

HP worked fine with just the black cartridge.

i have pretty much no use for color cartridges. so they are probably going to dry out in a matter of months. cartridges are expensive than HP ones if i am to believe the rates on the canon website. hmm.

just asked the friend who recommended it to me... he said that if you install the printer software, that might become an issue. if you use the native drivers that windows 7 uses, it is not an issue. would only find out when i run out of ink
