hii have configured my WA3002-G1 modem for PPPoE and it autodials to the connection. now all the users (4 laptop users) connect to the modem via wireless and internet doesn't work even after connecting to the modem. So i checked and found that i have to put the router's ip (192.168.1.1) in the default gateway setting for the wireless connection properties into every machine which i connect. and also i have to give it an matching IP something like (192.168.1.x). however i was using airtel before and i saw that there DHCP seems to have been configured where after connecting to wireless i get the IP address assigned automatically. How can i do that in WA3002-G1 modem. My connection is BSNL broadband and it is all wireless, no ethernet involved

You have to enable DHCP in modem
and give range as 192.168.1.3 to say 192.168.1.20
In All computer/s ( Laptops
Start Net work / Wireless LAN
Properties
New page
TCP/IP
properties
select Obtain IP address automatically.
Also DNS or enter
208.67.220.220
208.67.222.222
APPLY SAVE.

Para two:
At least program one laptop for
LAN port/ethernet connection also,
for future trouble shooting.

REF:WA3002-g1 (Type-II) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION

i have the DHCP setting under LAN but not under Wireless. DHCP works for me when i use ethernet cable, will it also work for Wireless if i set it in LAN?

Should not make a difference.

Please post screen shots of the modem pages . ( Both LAN and Wireless )

hi.did you mean to enable or disable ipv6? i first enabled it and tried then disabled it again and tried,it didn't work in either of cases.also NetBIOS has been already set to default for the DNS.Can anybody who has been using the same Modem confirm to me if DHCP had worked for them, in order to automatically set the IP address to the wireless connections.

In any modem/router/wifi there is only one page for
setting DHCP.

Test this way:
Connect LAN/ethernet mode the computer.
Test Ipconfig /all
Now remove the rj45 and work in WIFI mode.
Test ipconfig /all

Your computer's IP address will be same.
say 192.168.1.3
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1 ( usually modem's address )
