Automatic transmission takes long to respond (as per my colleagues) in Indian road and traffic conditions, and they're planning to bring autonomous vehicles. I like the ambition.

Depends on the transmission. From the cars I have tested my self, AMT is the worst form of automatic. CVT also feels sluggish. Torque converter is okay but DSG is fantastic.
