'Avengers: Endgame' off to record start in U.S., Canada - Reuters

Marvel Studios superhero spectacle “Avengers: Endgame” hauled in a record $60 million at U.S. and Canadian box offices during its Thursday night debut, distributor Walt Disney Co said.
Global ticket sales for the film about Iron Man, Hulk and other popular characters reached $305 million for the first two days, Disney said.
The domestic debut topped the previous opening night record of $57 million set in 2015 by “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

Avengers - Endgame collected a phenomenal 52 crore nett apprx across India on day one even though it released on just 1700 theatres. The collections are the third highest ever in terms of NETT collection after Bahubali - The Conclusion and 2.0 and in terms of GROSS it could be fourth as the Thugs Of Hindostan number with all languages could be a little higher. But basically taking out the holiday factor the top three opening days across India are non Hindi films.

good solid watch. good finale to the series that started with iron-man. i still have fond memory of going to that movie twice. first just for the sake of it. and second because it was just so good that i had to go again. the theater i went to today was not very good so i might end up watching endgame again on imax with better seats. i personally love the middle part of the movie. some very good scenes there.
 
^ oh yeah. not a marvel fan boy so I was planning to watch this after hype dies down and annoying screaming fanbois go away but my friend got me tickets on first day and I watched.

Amazing sendoff to the characters. Even though the movie is 3hours, It never felt like it. Ive only watched shitty marvel movies like iron man 3, thor 2 in theatres so finally watching good movies like captain marvel, infinity war and endgame feels awesome

Also I read nothing but hate against captain marvel on reddit by triggered rightwing supporters but incidentally captain marvel got the loudest cheers whenever she's on screen. surprised
