Bank of Baroda has charges now on NEFT for Savings Acc.

I mean they are the largest and have a proper tech stack in place. If you have a Canara Bank branch around your place, it should be fine as well. Do check the screenshots of their mobile apps and maybe even the website if you know someone with an existing account. And of course, go through the document mentioning all kinds of charges for various services 👀

It's annoying that to find out how the bank's mobile app/online banking is, you need to get an account with them first. These banks really should provide test accounts to go through both versions.

have no experience with their mobile app or website. but dad and mom have used andhra bank for a looong time and their bank staff is pretty courteous. merged with union but still retains separate branch in my local market. would be a pain if/when they close this and i would have to visit the union bank branch instead.

I have rarely ever gone to a branch unless, there is an issue with the account.
Don't have a Union Bank nearby, and reputation for the bank around people I know is not that great.

I have had a horrible experience Bank of India with App Activation and instances where FD's created digitally, needed bank visits to do any modifications.

yes for even a simple task one has to visit the branch of bank of india. PNB is much better in these terms I think they are the most advanced in digital banking , smooth app, glitch free internet banking although their UPI server sucks a bit.

@Sushubh the password problem is the worst with sbi requires a new every 15 days or so I guess, HDFC has the easiest hassle-free login process to netbanking . BOB has a equivalent irritating process just like SBI .
and why the hell do we need 2 password one profile one login
I have started to write down all passwords now in a small notebook Its just impossible to keep a track of all.

Union bank has 2 passwords - login and transaction password. But they needs to be changed after 6 months and 12 months .
Also never faced upi downtime.
Their app is quite okayish too.
If your experience with them is not good , as other people suggested here , you can try PNB or SBI. I think PNB is more prominent in Northern India.

Canara bank mobile app doesn't even open at times. Been a customer for 20+ years.

Axis app on the other hand always come in handy when nothing else works. Just the app is fine. The consolidated charges are the main issue with this bank. It is charged at random with no transparency.
