Guys,I am working as a Senior Technical Support Executive. Recently bought a Dell laptop and the next day(08-OCT) itself, I bought MTS Blaze. I have never seen a F**KING service or the connectivity from any ISP. The worst technical support. DOWNLOAD SPEED IS 0.28 Mbps and 0.16 Mbps of upload speed.They given 4 case numbers and none of them are fixed until now(29-OCT-10).BETTER DON'T OPT FOR MTS BLAZE...........
 
It's important to get a demo. I get the best speeds I've seen in my life! But my neighbour sometimes can't even connect.#1. When the USB modem was just plugged into my computer, there was no signal. The demo guy said Sorry, No Network. But I used my USB extender cable and tried. The signal strength was different at different places in the room. I hung the modem outside the window and the signal was 100%... so I bought the modem.#2. My neighbour sometimes can't even connect. (He lives 15 metres away.) He didn't get a demo, and he doesn't use an extender... so Problems.#3. I tested actual download speeds over one month. With a low signal strength (modem inside the room), the speed is somewhat low, and it changes from minute to minute. Unpredictable. With a high signal (modem hanging outside), the speed is higher, and more importantly, it is constant.#4. As of November 2010 in CBD Belapur, my down speeds range from 120 kB to 260 kB between 11 AM and 8 PM approx. Outside that, the speeds range from 200 kB to 310 kB. (Latency is not good; average 400 ms.) Fantastic for the price... monthly 1000 rupees for 15 GB @ 220 kBps average!
 
MTS is better than Photon+ and Reliance in my area (Barrackpore, 25km away from Kolkata) ! with IDM i got 347kBps download speed! but no BSNL EVDO !
 
yeh kaun aaya hai re! MTS runs on Indicom netwrk when roaming only!!! in WB MTS givin a superb netwrk better than indicom !!
 
MTS is worst service provider, speed pathetic (download speed never cross 70-75 KB/sec), connectivity god knows & customer care is excellent in suggesting - do this, do that & if you're lucky then your problem solved. For god sake, never trust this service provider when you're roaming, most of place it provide 1X speed only if you're fortunate to connect.

Yes you are correct, I used Tata Photon , and got the same problem.. moreover , I paid them for 5 months and complained 14 times .. and the last complain number was 242278799 .. so I recommend each user , to check that out first.. ask them to give demo , and use where you want to use.. it.. then only it may work..Best of Luck..
 
Guys Please do make an effort to get a demo at your place by an MTS agent. What I've experienced is MTS is much better than any of other wireless broadband providers. I'm posting my result at this time i.e 2:18am, look for yourself

Now just to make sure, ^^ was the result taken on first day of my purchase, so I wasn't confirmed if the statics would remain same or almost same throughout.

It has been 4 days now and I've come up with another result at 2:56am, here it goes..

As a matter of fact, MTS is decent in its performance and gives economical advantage over other bearers, Rs.2000 unlimited(device+plan). Guys who are suffering from bad experience I'd suggest read over the MTS rules & conditions of their FUP policy, and most importantly have a demo at your place if you're in a mood to purchase one.

MTS is giving decent speeds to me, if not fantastic, its a wireless technology guys don't expect to get a 1MBps down link out of 3.1MBps connection. I'm loving MTS. Here's my experience :)
