Best Split AC to buy in 2010 ?

Hello Friends !I'm planning to buy one Split AC (1.5 TON) this season , I'm kinda confuse among various Brands present in the market .Can anyone please guide me for this . Mine budget is around 40K (With Installation).So please let me know which brand is best in regards to Cost , Electricity Bill, n usage . I mean in regards to life ?Thanks in Advance !Update : Please let me know Model No. along with price

But is it complete cost with installation or without Installation ?

These are without installation prices in Delhi. However with the intense competition, most shops agree to a free installation.

At home I am using a Hitachi 1.5 Ton Iota split level AC for last 3 years and a Hitachi 1.5 Ton Quadricool Windows AC for the last 5 years. Both are very reliable and very effective. Split level AC is very quiet. Finish of Remotes are not good, definitely not Hitachi standard. But No issues so far with AC. No service done except routine filter cleaning done myself. So my experience with Hitachi is very good.

What about Daikin ? Is this better than Hitachi ?

^^ Choose Daikin if you like silence - these guys come up with the best "silent air-conditioners" ..Avoid LG, Samsung and Carrier - look out for Panasonic, O General, Daikin and Hitachi.

^^ A good query. The last time I was out hunting for split units (approximately six months back), I found authorized service centers for OGeneral, Daikin and Hitachi at Trivandrum. Since the OP has not mentioned his whereabouts, I am afraid I cannot comment on his situation.
