Hey guys!, I just found this awesome community while searching ways to setup port forwarding to ssh into my computer from internet. And would really appreciate if you guys could help me out here by answering some questions.

So for context, I have a workstation at home and would like to have access to it when I go to college. And SSH would be perfect for that (I think, maybe there's a better way?).

But my ISP (Alliance broadband) has blocked all the ports for normal broadband plan and I live in Asansol West Bengal. They are asking for additional fee for static IP and opening these ports 3K + GST per year and they are asking me to send that money in some bank account directly which I thought was quite sus. So, my questions are:

1. Is static IP and port-forwarding all I will need to accomplish my SSH setup?
2. Are there better options that I have, like switching to more reputed ISPs that have proper infrastructure for this, in sense that I would not need to send some random guy the money.
3. Are there special setup/changes required to my current setup of router from ISP, like having a new wired connection or something?
4. I have an IBall router that came with alliance installation would that be sufficient or would I require an upgrade?

Thanks in advance.
