there is a trend in TN tat all people will be glue to solomon pappaiya pattimandram , and Hit Movie at 6PM by SUNTV on festive days . that is why many channels stay away from SUN's slot... and it continues even now.. sure tat most will watch Chandramukhi. kalaignar may gain some viewership for Billa but cannot beat chandramukhi.. always Rajini Film in SUNTV will beat all TRP's.
eg : even now padaiyappa,Muthu, arunachalam,baasha,annamalai all these Rajini Hits when showed how much ever time on SUNTV it will be watched widely. and SUN knows wat people will sit for.
I agree with u. But all these stuff, will not last for a long time. Just Imagine , when Kalaignar is telecasting Dasavatharam or Sivaji, What movie they have to compete. They may repeat Chandramukhi or If they put Kadhalil Vizhunden, Even D o g wont watch it. Sun Tv movie stock for new hit movies will last only till Next Diwali.
I like Kalaignar Tv, only for one Reason. The only channel to compete with Sun TV, atleast to some level, when Old Channels hide themselves.
After Sun Tv, the movie which I watched fully was in Kalaignar only , PKMC was the movie.

First of all Kalaignar is not a full fledged business house like SUN Network.Its bcos of current DMK Govt it is running, and it may not so after DMK loses power. SUN has strength , Money and most of all Popularity than any other channel. Cho Ramasamy has recently said if SUNTV stand with Vijaykanth sure he will win elections. But I think Jaya TV is the only channel, who didnt use the Political Power, when ADMK ruled TN.Poor Channel Who siad ?? when Jaya was in Power Jaya tv had exclusive rights to air TN State Legislative proceedings and other Govt Functions and Temple Festives. Jaya TV was the mouth piece of then ADMK Govt.

That's because Jaya TV didn't want to spend money which they may not recover. They knew they can buy movies with some arm twisting... but can't force people to watch it.

I was commenting on the Political Power used by Jayatv . Sorry it had Misled ur statement .More over Jayatv is not running channel for business , its running for its Party, so cannot expect Top Film Rights for that channel. it knows any ways people will watch SUNTV and doesnot want to waste money, that is why it never shows movies by 6PM when SUN shows movies. further to your statement, it had rights for few good films like ullam ketkume, kakha kakha etc..Its not that Jayatv is not capable of getting rights but it doesnot want to. its intention is only to Comunicate Amma's propaganda always.
