so watch this finally last night at a theater. i think this was my first movie in theater since guardians of the Galaxy (first).
national anthem played after trailers.
3d still sucks. got a headache during dark scenes.
movie was kind of disappointing. the random mix of wakandan language was a mess. i mean i get it. people do not want to read subs. but having wakandans speaking english with each other and even using english for prayers was kind of baffling.
also of course... lack of a good villain. they got rid of the good one in the middle just like that who has been part of other marvel movies. and brought a hipster villain in a bollywood type story. i mean it was just annoying.
also kind of did not understand how one part of wakanda is this sci-fi futuristic city even though people on the street seemed like they were living in a primitive society. and other tribes like the gorilla army also had no access to this funky city and lived primitively.
very little time spent on the backstory of wakanda. i did not even realize the movie had started till my cousin confirmed when they were telling the story of wakanda.

anyhow... decent jokes here and there. credit scenes were disappointing. censoring of glory to hanuman and middle finger was annoying. background score was disappointing even though people seem to be crazy for it. now over to infinity stones!

Critics termed Killmonger as the best villain since Loki. Lol Backstory of Wakanda? The whole movie was the backstory. A meteor landed which provided them with Vibranium. The four tribes (The River tribe, the Mining tribe, the Merchant tribe, and the Border tribe) worship the panther god. The fifth tribe are the Jabari who are staunch traditionalists and never believed in T'chaka. What more you wanted?

And regarding the separate futuristic city and people living primitively is because the main city is kept hidden from outside world while the people living in and around the borders are there to give the fake idea that Wakanda is still a third world country. It doesn't mean people don't have access to that technology. Even the people living at the borders had futuristic weapons.

i think i was fumbling with my clip on while they were narrating the backstory as i was still recovering from the national anthem and didn't realize that the movie had finally started after 15 minutes of propaganda (pay advance tax for nation building, link aadhaar with everything with just one trailer for next pacific rim). would watch the movie again because i really hated the first half of the movie because of the 3d headache.

Yep. 3D has become super annoying. I tried to find a 2D screening and the only one where I could go was in a theatre which had terrible reviews. :| Movie studios need to give us a choice.

movie theaters :D

has anyone here in gurgaon seen a movie in the imax and/or 4D thingy they have?
