Black/white picture..Please help

Hello , i have connected Tata Sky to samsung lcd tv.The problem is sometimes the display continously changes from b/w to color and vice versa. this happens for abt a min , then stops. When this problem comes on channel A , when u change to channel B, it stops chaging colors. This occurs at frequent intervals in all channels. Please help as to wat i should do.Customer Care are not very helpful as once when they sent engineer there was no problem during the time he came.

If you have a digital camera / video camera - take a recording of the problem. I am all too familiar with not being able to replicate the problem in front of a technician!! I would advise taking this step, so that you can show it to the engineer and he can do the needful. If they can't solve it, insist on a replacement STB. If that doesn't work, then most probably the problem is with your TV. Then get Samsung to replace your TV.

yup. pressurize them calling now and then. Ask them to change the STB. If u still get the same problem., it is the problem with your LCD TV.

Play some vcds or dvds to check out the tv. You can also try connecting another tv in place of lcd tv and monitoring for a while. Intermittent problems are difficult to resolve.Which of the equipment is new - tv ot stb?
