CEO John Chen says upcoming BlackBerry phones to mostly feature keyboards as handset maker is shifting focus to business customers.
I think a lot of their biz customers in the west (esp US) went in for the iOS or Android phones when many companies started the BYOD (Buy Your Own Device) schemes as a cost cutting measure. Now both these OS's have a BBM app available.
Again only time will tell.
