Disappointed, but to be honest I cannot say I did not see it coming. A lot of folks in blogs/forums managed to get it on their devices through rooting & stuff & were saying it doesnt look like a good experience and unless they are working on fixing these, people are better off with OS 2.1
Personally, I too would have preferred BB10 just because it is supposed to bring in support for JellyBean (OS 10.2 ,bringing lot of newer apps) and several apps which came in via BB10 (OS 10.0/10.1). With BBM & Skype & a few more being the most expected by a few.

And i bought the playbook just yesterday for 4000. 4 months old usa purchased. And bb gave solid jhatka today that they wont release bb10. sahi naseeb hai mere ! :-(

Was BB10 the only reason you decided to buy? OS 2.1 is managable if you ask me, unless you are waiting for specific features which are expected to be in BB10. I would say 4000 is a decent price for what it offers. Definitely not worth 14k now (the price that I bought it at, at that time I felt it was ok), but 4k now is still ok

No mh. I like this qnx. It is very much like bb10. Reason i bought is to pair up with z10. But bridge feature doesn't have support all the functions have like old legacy devices have. coming in future updates.Although 10 would have been awesome on playbook. But i am happy for the price i paid. Atleast much better than those Chinese tabs.

Wow.. You have a Z10.. How is the device.

Z10 is good phone. Wanted to have something different from ios and android crowd. keyboard is the best keyboard i have ever use. Much better than ios and android. Muti tasking is breeze. 0 lags or anything.Browser is really fast and reader mode works really well.Only issue is average battery life. I have to charge twice in day with full 3g on.

Forget BB10, basically nothing except critical fixes/security updates would come

I guess we can now officially move the Playbook to be as the same status as HP Touchpad WebOS

Seriously. I always end up getting confused between these two names Touchpad and Playbook. Especially considering Touchpad is a generic term.
