We want Bluesky to be the home for breaking news, commentary and analysis, jokes and more. And we’re taking one step closer to this goal by making posts publicly viewable, which means that you don’t have to be logged in to see posts on Bluesky.
All posts on Bluesky were already public, but prior to today, our application and many others chose to only allow logged-in users to view them.
To ease this transition, we've included an opt-out setting. If you want your profile to continue to be seen only by logged-in users, you can opt out by following these steps:
Update Bluesky to the latest version 1.60.0
Click Moderation in the menu on the left side
Toggle on Logged-out visibility

They also now have a proper logo. In the shape of a butterfly lol.

What's new at Bluesky?
Hashtags are here: You can now use #hashtags in your posts. When you tap them, you'll get a menu with lots of handy options.
Mute words! In the Moderation screen, you can now add mute words which target either hashtags or the full content of a post (text, alt text, and hashtags).

Bluesky’s Stackable Approach to Moderation - Bluesky

Today, we’re open sourcing Ozone, a tool that lets a team of moderators or curators collaboratively review reports, create labels, and inspect content on the atproto network. Later this week, we’re opening up the ability for users to run their own independent moderation services.

Search improvements: Looking for a specific person or post? You should now be able to find them easily via search!
