I can understand people excited about something new. However ... please analyse. How many of you have watched and understood the FoxNews presentations?It is highly biased, pro-Bush, pro-Republican, anti-developing nation, egotistic news. The anchors have their nose up at anything that is not WASP (White Anglo Saxon Protestant). While most national news channels in USA are US biased (as they should be), Fox takes the cake ... anything beyond the shores of USA is 'bad for USA world that needs to be put in its place'. I think most bloggers want a NPOV as Wikipedia puts it. (Neutral Point Of View). We see blatant bias in some of our India news channels too. In recent months, the anchors and the channels are bent on broadcasting 'creative news' and are more into 'making news' rather than reporting news. You will not get NPOV with FoxNews, I bet on it. Being so far from the USA-action, it is going to give a serious slant to whatever you hear reported. So watch it guys! Be warned.

I am sure those who watch English news are aware of what each channel stands for - which ones slant towards the left, or right, or conveniently change positions as and when required. When Fox News does come about, people will automatically know about it. In any case, those who swallow every word said and written in the media without thinking deserve those channels and newspapers.

Doesn't matter that fox news is biased.So are all other news channels. If news channels/newspapers/news mags were to be banned using this criteria , then someone tell me why is "hindunewspaper " and frontline not yet banned in india?? After all it's pro-china and anti-india and since it's more popular(in india) than fox news will ever be, then as per your arguement. it should have been banned a long time ago. And anyway i like President bush. He's more pro-india than any other american president has ever been.

Most Newspapers and News Channels are biased.Some are subtle, some are open.Fox falls in the latter category, so what?

Well to begin with what do you mean by "openly" biased?? Fox doesn't go around screaming "Hello, we are biased. Thanks for listening to us. Have a nice day."

The reason why to most people they are perceptively biased is because they are extremely biased as compared to other channels, that have leanings. Their bias reaches the point of absurdity, and insults reasonable intelligence. Perhaps the only other thing more insulting is people lapping up American channels and American shows because they are American.
