but i dont see them losing customers that easily. considering bsnl does not even usually have enough modems in stock to offer to new customers. i am not enticed into getting the bsnl limited connections. unlimited one at 2mbps? i might consider that. but i would wait for airtel to take some action coz if bsnl launches 2 mbps unlimited that would change the whole scenario in india.
Well i wanted a connection having atleat unlimited night downloads and about price range of 5-600 . I had rounded on either bsnl or connect .
Currently bsnl is giving a plan with dload limit 1 gb night (2-8) free @ 256 kbps @ Rs 500 . Where as connect was offering 400mb limit 11pm-9am free @ 512 kbps @ Rs 550 (also avail 800 mb limit at Rs 660). I opted for connect as i think it certainly was a better option in terms of plan .
Now i hav had a few connection woes as the connection seemed to disconnect once in 2-3 hrs , that is what i am currently living with now but he happy point here is speeds that i am getting . i took a speed test from http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and i was reported download speed of 527 kbps and upload speed of 117 kbps . Here is the screenshot of what i recieved
