Also, you can apply for dsl from
http://bsnl.co.in . Problem is you need a phone(1500 Rs) and being a state owned company, lethargy is its middle name.
If you do go with bsnl's dsl, then apply for 512k 1800 Rs connection. That's what I've applied for.
France has cheap broadband for 30 euros but there is no Indian version of wanadoo so you gotta grin and bear. And yeah, don't forget to get your
adsl modem from france(preferably alcatel). This sh*t's costly in India.
And, I would suggest you register in this forum. Once you come to India, you will definitely want to talk about the state of Indian broadband(or rather, the lack of it).
