Broadband information for foreing people

Hello to everyone,i hope i did not post my question into the wrong section.I will come to India in few weeks for bussiness, and I will stay in Bangalore one month. Can anyone tell me what is the best internet key to buy ? I did not expect to have the same speed as I have in Europe, but I would like to understand if I can surf with a decent speed using a wi-fi internet key connection. If anyone can also specify the tariffs , it would be very appreciated. Thanks a lot for your support. Greetings from Europe.

it depends on your budget many operators offer wi fi but they come with non refundable installation charges if you take a connection for less that 1 month you can try bsnl which gives 512 kbps with wi fi modem for about 1100 per month and some 1000 for installation,you could also try tata indicom,call them on their toll free numbers for more guidance,if you are here only for a month you won't get much,you can also try airtel but i don't think they have wifi but they are the most reliable and quick with service btw you didn't post in the wrong section!

if your staying in of these , i guess you'd have to buy some recharge card to get a username and password for accessing the network.

Your best bet is staying in a hotel that offers WiFi (for which you will need to supply passport copies and so forth anyway).Trying to get a USB wireless connection or SIM card from any provider in India will be impossible UNLESS you have a physical address in India and proof of that in writing.If you do manage to get a connection, the price for the service will be relatively cheap considering you are spending in Euros, but the speed will be slow.I speak from experience.
