FUPED BSNL ?? Who has said you my dear that Bsnl 3G's Unlimited 2000/2500/4200 plans have FUP.
It's only now that BSNL has introduced FUP's and i will not hesitate to throw the sim as soon as other operator launches unlimited(or a decent FUP plan) so their is no ques. of loyalty.
And so what some day some other operator will launch unlimited plans, i guess Aircel has come up with one already.

But probably u did not understand my reply.
Read it correctly and don't post the names of bogus companies and countries repeatedly without any head or tail.

Thanks for this video.

This re-enforces my arguments about Wireless and Unlimited not being a good mix, and that 3G should not be sold as a replacement for other types of broadband (wired), merely a supplementary connection.

It’s OK for light usage, but heavy/unlimited usage – no way :)

as a broadband providers point of view u r very much justified ... but as a users point of view how can u stop sumone from torrenting on a 3g connction with gr8 spdd(used to b)??? the scenario bfore 3g was quite diffnt.... many of us cldnt enjy what is true bb.. but now when there is spd and avlbl b/w ,, why not use it??

if the servc providers cldnt provide 50 GB per say in 1000 bucks in wireline bb thats not users fault ... thats why when bsnl launched ul in 4200 evrybdy strtd to dwnld as much as they can.... this craze wouldnt b now if india had gd cheap bb plans bfore 3g/hspa...

u cant also blame them for taking the connections and using it like a wired connection. If only the ISPs here gave good speeds with logical fup bsnl could not have trapped so many. All of us are desperate for good bandwidth and r now depending on u or any other that will provide that.
I have been spreading the word on Hayai through FB orkut friends relatives but most r now asking me and telling me launch date, fake, will change tactics and the like. Already have had major arguments with some on the above queries and i have to shutup when the most common q is asked "no proof of existence". :(

I'm not justifying the financial side of things, I'm justifying it from a technology point of view. If you watched the video, you'd hear from the reviewer that the network is slow and can't handle the load.

The speed is there, yes, but it relies on there being available bandwidth, and if everybody is using the network for torrents and so on, there's no available bandwidth, and the network slows down for everyone, causing there to be no speed and rubbish service for EVERYONE. For that reason alone I *can* blame the users... if the users were to use the network for the purpose which it is intended (a purpose which doesn't include torrents), then the speed will stay higher.

On the other hand, I can also blame BSNL for shooting itself in the foot by offering this kind of plan which, unfortunately, is not sustainable from a quality of service perspective. If they'd priced it higher, it probably wouldn't have been as popular, but that would have resulted in higher speeds for everybody which can't be a bad thing, can it?

The point is that 3G is not a replacement for a regular, fixed broadband connection. It's designed for use on the move, not sitting around downloading torrents.

I absolutely agree 100%.

If we change our tactics, I will be inviting an angry mob to come around to my house with torches and pitchforks. I simply can't afford to do that, as I do value my life.

Why would you blame users when company is selling services with the tag unlimited?

If you read my post, it would be because of the way they use the network. 3G is designed for bursty usage, not constant bitrates - you get some file or some youtube video or whatever quickly, then the airwaves are clear for other people to do the same thing.

If they're downloading torrents and so on all the time, that's kind of outside the scope of what 3G is supposed to deliver - it's simply not designed to handle it. That's all.

I know you are right but, the thing is do you really expect a mediocre person to know all this technical aspects of a service?Isn't it companies responsibility to clear all this things before the customer, or at least provide proper terms and conditions?I am just arguing with an aaam admi perspective.
