BSNL 3G is now offering unlimited data for Rs. 1099 (Rs. 156 for 2GB/Rs. 549 for 10GB)

People in Nagpur are deprived of good broadband speeds while being unlimited so they pounce on anything that promises good speeds and is unlimited. Why cant Nagpur have private broadband players like Mumbai does.

People still aren't that much tech savvy here as other Tier 1 cities are..Hell I dont even know why our Airport is an International one,why do we have IIM,why do we have a Metro station being built and why the city has been declared to be built as smart city :speechless:
We hardly have any industrial growth going on here..
Most of the population look for cities like Pune for education and Bangalore,Pune for jobs.

Update:-
So this is new,i was using the SIM in a MotoG 1st Gen which was hooked onto BSNL 3G and I switched the SIM to Mi3 and it latches onto IDEA 3G which is giving me 3-4Mbps :p

This is my speed, usb tethered to desktop through OnePlus one. Speed test results varies, sometimes its 8mbps, sometimes as low as 1.89. download speeds vary too from 100kbps to max i saw 700kbps. Thinking of getting bsnl broadband for 250rs.

volcano619. I have some good news for us Nagpurians. I went to Jio center today for Jiolink and they told me JioLink will not be provided because Nagpur is Teir- 1 and FTTH is to be provided starting Jan 2017 and most of the nagpur is covered they have already laid fiber. Starting Jan 2017 commercially areas will be the first to get ftth and the rest will follow soon.

I have a BSNL prepaid SIM. Is there any way to test out their 3G connectivity before taking their 1099 plan. I am worried about their connectivity and speeds to my room as I stay in the bottom floor of my house though there is a window near my table. Where are the instructions to activate BSNL 3G and recharge coupons etc. I would like to give it a try once before taking the unlimited plan. Hope it is somewhat stable and not like their noisy phone lines and unstable broadband connection (actually stable but the perennial noisy lines make it unstable).

HE-MAN and volcano619
This made me very happy!
Private net sucks here (ORANGE.NET)etc
I am from Nagpur too.Using bsnl 3g.
I am getting 300kpbs to 990 kpbs downloading speed at day and 1.5mpbs at night (Not Bandwitch)
BSNL 1099 plan is good.I buy this plan than actual broadband plan of same cost
Struggling for good net since 2010 :D
btw i am downloading from steam.

Are you using the bsnl sim with some dongle or from mobile. My friend says that using dongle provides better consistent speeds than mobile tethering.

Also orangeinfocom.in nagpur provides peering I think so you should get good speeds in some torrents. Check Torbox.net it should tell you if you are on peering network.
