BSNL 3G is now offering unlimited data for Rs. 1099 (Rs. 156 for 2GB/Rs. 549 for 10GB)

Bsnl is still living in Wonderland.
I was just looking at the Aircel site, they are now giving UL voice + 300 MB @ 127.
Rcom also has the same plan @ 149.

It's not just about price cutting, there is so much scope for innovation. 62% of India is still on 2G, a huge untapped market.
Is 1 MBps UL possible or 2 MBps UL? What about UL plans with shorter time validities?
The next 3 months are do or die for telcos that are unable to compete.
 
Aircel,Docomo,Telenor don't have great coverage so anybody who travels a lot or need a stable network would definitely switch/stick to BSNL.

I guess you did a typo in MBps, 1 MBps UL=8mbps now leave that speed very few ISP offer 4-5mbps full unlimited connection. There is a 14days UL plan from BSNL for approx. 500.
 
Actually, I did mean 1 MBps UL.
Aircel 3G is extremely stable, I never had any disconnection, unlike my Bsnl broadband which is dead from 2 days....... nobody even picks up the phone in the exchange since yesterday.

The new plan of 498......... has it brought in NEW customers? I think that the 1100 UL customers will switch to 2 * 498, it's like moving money from the left pocket to the right pocket.

Undoubtedly, the 1100 UL plan is a big hit.
Instead of price cutting, they can bring out new UL plans with different time validities and different speeds(if possible) and see the response.
They don't lose anything by trying.

How many will take a 1/7 day 2 MBps UL pack? Or a 1/7 day 1 MBps UL pack ?
The Unlimited part is the key selling point.
 
after using 200 gb of data i am getting slow speed i can't even play youtube videos without it buffering almost all the time ,so this is not truly unlimited then?or maybe it's just me idk

I think Bsnl is capping my speeds. Its been a day I keep getting the same results in speedtest 2.42mbps download/upload. Full H+ signal with 77dbm. Its been 2 days now I am getting the same speed 2.42mbps d/u. I think its not unlimited anymore, there is a FUP. I get 10-12mbps easily but now 2.42mbps speed test goes to 8-9mbps then goes down to 2.42mbps and stays there. My transfer rate is 250kbps now. Fuck my life

LOL,I have 65 dbm and I get 0.75Mbps max and I mean bandwidth...So what do you want me to do here ??
 
its not about dbm. Its about the speed. I have being using this for 3 months now. 8-10mbps is what I got. Suddenly from 2 days its not going above 2.42mbps up and down. They are capping the speeds its not without speed restrictions. Tweeting about it does nothing. They say please provide proper information but dont say what information. I provide number and name in tweet and the problem I am facing.
 
So your speeds are down to 2.4 Mbps from 10Mbps from 2 days ,which is still bearable in my Opinion,I'm stuck at 0.75Mbps from the start lol
