and brother how long will take othet operators like vodafone and airtel to comeup with 3g?

In which sector or part of Chandigarh are you receiving BSNL 3G ?

in northern sector , vidhan sabha, open hand, sukhana, in 34 35 and 32 :whistle:

----------

Chandigarh launching is delayed due to coverage issue, everything is fine with Chd

OKKK,

So that means we can expect more delay for Panchkula,Chandimandir area ?

Can we still apply for 3G even if it is not covered in our area ?

Which 3G mobile is best for BSNL as Im going to buy a new 3G mobile very soon ?Any idea about how the Samsung Touchwiz F480 mobile is ?

Is the speed of 3G on a laptop via USB cable/Bluetooth from mobile same as that via a 3G USB modem attached to the laptop or more or less ?

You can apply in any local exchange, I do not think Mansa devi complex is 3G enabled, becoze 3G works in 2.1 Ghz band , and it's tower range is just 3 to 4 KM, Unlike GSM 900 which has 8 to 9 KM range and CDMA (800Mhz) which has 15 KM Range, So If you live in area like Mansa devi Complex or Manimajra Housing Complex ,it may be little problem , BSNL will start with chd mohali and panchkula and later this year add coverage to far locality

Go For Nokia E Series else Nokia 79, do not go for Samsung ,

As samsung being the best for CDMA 3G

----------

dude again , do not go for data plan in BSNL3G, there is lot of problem

I wonder why you not try BSNL EVDO , becz it is available in CHD

:confused::confused::confused:

----------

Nokia79 is mullh of everything, best after sales and very turfy ,

Else go with BSNL Blackberry , it is best :cool2::cool2:

Hello Mr Jain,You guessed right Im in MDC area but sorry to here there will be problem for 3G in this area .However there is a BSNL exchange inside MDC which covers whole of the area .As far as I know even EVDO is not available in MDC area although I may be wrong. Thanks for your suggestion to buy Nokia/Blackberry for 3G.Actually I had shortlisted Samsung Touch Wiz(F480),Samsung Pixon,Samsung Ultra touch(S8300) as I was thinking of buying a new touch screen phone with 3G and good camera but these mobiles particularly Ultra touch suffers from a lag when touched although camera wise it is the best .Since you have suggested Nokia E series or Nokia N79 I'll have look at these on the net.I did have a look at E 71 yesterday on the net,it seemed good one with 3G.By the way ever since I started using mobiles I have used Nokia brand only but my experience with Nokia care centers has not been good.I have a N70 which is not switching on but no Nokia care center knows how to repair it even on payment !

Ha < Ha Electronics me agar koch serious hu jayee tu uska koi juggad nahee hai < and Unfortunate you are facing such problem , More the bigger set , more the problem, Go for Eseries , else Nokia N79 is mullah of all,

Touch Screen phone are useless, lot of problem, Go for Nokia only ,

If you wanna use your 3G enabled handset for data than E-series is good , will cost you just 11000, with inbuilt 3.4Mbps modem .

If you want everything in your mobile , or say big Punch WiFi , GPS, 5MP camera , better music player godd screen and a slim sized mobile than N79 is your best choice

----------

I often come to Panchkula , Mansa devi complex is a very wide area , where housing project is developed , do not worry , My lot of uncles works in BSNL procurement cells , I will ask them to let me know is there any possibility of 3G BTS installation in MDC.

Till than dude use CDMA tech for data , it is best , but unfortunate our private operator makes it very costly . BSNL has EVDo but it has very few site , so only chance is Relaince GSM Edge , it is very good , i too try it , it gave me 230Kbps speed . well unlimited:@ plan cost you 300:@:@

----------

dude , are you on orkut than give me link :thumb::thumb:

Any idea about Nokia 5800 Express music ?I know there are some problems with touch screen and the camera but overall features are much more. Moreover it has the latest S60 V 5 OS which no other phone except N97 has !N 97 must be very costly for a phone.By the way I will take your suggestions also in to consideration while buying new mobile.

i have not used that phone personally.but i saw a dude using it while i was having a random conversation.i think the phone's OS is confusing. and it is not very powerful. the touchscreen controls are not very intuitive.of course, i use an ipod touch so i do know how intuitive touchscreen devices can be. from the impression i got, i would stay away from Nokia 5800.... it's practically the first touchscreen model from nokia and they seldom get the thing right in the first try.

The reason why there is difference between the touchscreens of Nokia 5800 in comparison with others like Samsung,iPhone etc is that Nokia 5800,N97 are using a "resistive touchscreen" whereas iphone etc are using "capacitive touch screen".

The resistive touchscreen requires little more pressing and effort. In almost all the video reviews of 5800 I have seen on the net I have seen people using their fingers to operate it.Hardly anyone uses the stylus which is supposed to be used with Nokia 5800 and then they complain.

Moreover it is clear from the videos on nokia.co.in that some applications in Nokia 5800 require single touch while others require double touch though this may be confusing.

Any way Samsung has already launched Samsung i8910(Omnia HD) abroad (not in India) on the same S 60 V 5 platform as Nokia 5800,N97 with 8 MP camera.Considering some Samsung phones in India like Innov8 already cost around 40K wonder how much Samsung Omnia HD will cost when it hits India...1 lac ?

Here is the link to Samsung Omnia HD which is supposed to have the best camera and video recording capacities :

I think we are going off topic as we have started discussing mobile phones but since there is reference to N79 and Nokia 5800 in the above messages and both have 3G, look at the talk time difference in the following comparison :
