BSNL 3G speed is capped at 1mbps until network upgrades are complete

Even my Speed in my HomeTown Dhule is steady at 2Mbps+ does this mean our network is not getting upgraded :( ...

I think BsNL may suffer if BSNl goes like this. Vodafone 3g is almost launched not officially. If vodafone throws unlimited tariff at a cheap rate, it will be on the top for 3g. Vodafone is always known for their good service but costly.

zzzz lets all stop day dreaming that any private operator(least of all vodaphone) will launch an unlimited plan either cheap or costly...
 
Speed is stable in Pune to 3 Mbps. Check todays speed-test.



Buddy, pls tell whether you are in Unlimited plan. Why im asking coz, only unlimited plan users are limited to 1 Mbps and other regular users are getting 3.6 Mbps everywhere.
 
I am in 1359 unlimited regular plan and getting 3 + Mbps speed. Only those in promotional offer of 2000 / 2500 / 4200 are capped to 1 Mbps, I think.
 
you said it man. if it goes to april. then most of the users ends their unlimited validity.
at present with 3.2 mbps they are nw not giving unlimited plans, then hw they give unlimited plans at 21mbps.
Think!!!!
if the fair usage policy is atleast 25-30gb then it will be ok!
if its 5gb it is the funniest plan coz we can download 5gb with in some hours in 21mbps speed.

In cochin they said it will take 2 months for the speeds to return back..That is April end..But I find no point as the UL 4200 plans will get over by then..And when their networks are 21mbps,they will increase the UL tariffs so that a normal user cannot afford it.

Now, from today morning, my connection also capped to 512Kbps, though I have not made any heavy download. I am in postpaid unlimited regular plan. Capped simply because it is an unlimited plan ?

Sent a mail to BSNL officer to clarify for capping at 512Kbps (EDGE) for paying around 1483 for 3G connection. When I can get for 750 rs 512 kbps / unlimited / wired BBand connection, should I pay double the amount, for limited / 512kbps / wireless connection ?
 
spoke to the senior most Bsnl official in cochin. According to him the bandwidth is capped for time being to 1024 KBps download and 512 KBps upload only in south india( kerala, karnataka , andhra pradesh , tamilnadu ) because maximum no of bsnl 3g connections for unlimited internet scheme ie (rs 4200) are in south india and hence the bandwidth is clogged in the south . Will be back to original condition only when the promotional unlimited scheme ie (rs 4200) validity is over. pls expect the same bandwidth for the next 45 days till april end.
 
Today, I have spent more than an hour with Mandhaveli official ( Chennai ) regarding my capping to 512Kbps and data account checking. He said he will forward my mail to concerned authorities for further action.

Today he has replied to my long pending question, that they have recently received clarification from higher authorities to allow the existing unlimited customers to have unlimited usage up to six months from the date of our entering to the unlimited plan ( and not from the change of tariff to limited usage i.e 18th / 25th Feb ).

As he has promised, called me in the evening and informed me to send sms " usg " to 53333. ( For Chennai / tamilnadu customers ) to know the data usage. It works. *123*10# and *123*8# not working for me.

When I checked my usage the reply sms was ....37975 KB off peak and 1748134 KB peak usage ...... So totally 1.70GB data used.

But for my 1.70GB itself they have capped me to 512 Kbps connectivity. I will compensate their mistake, in some other way, if it is not settled shortly. No other option.

That officer said that capping will be settled not before the end of March. He is very smart enough, not to disclose the reason. An excellent talented, knowledgeable and obliging officer, very rare to come in contact with. Because most of them will simply divert you :pleasehelp: ..... take diversion :pleasehelp:.... take diversion :pleasehelp:.... take diversion :pleasehelp:...... take diversion:pleasehelp:...... Finally you will end at the first person who has diverted you.

I am using 4200/- unlimited plan.
 
I guess capping has been upped to more than 3.6 mbps depends on circle and as a result lot of people started to face very slow browsing(some time doesnt even load the page ) :(

hey friends i have new trick to use bsnl 3g gprs free with unlimited download.
this trick work all over india.
After bsnl stop unlimited plans and increase the data rates we are not able to use bsnl with a smile face.
Now i found a bug in bsnl 3g server through which we can download unlimited and browsing for free.
you need bsnl sim and data card modem ( of any brand ).
i dont know about mobiles.
and yes it works for u all 100% sure.
