BSNL ADSL modem not installing ... help ...

hi a bsnl adsl modem ( siemens c 2110 ) was delivered today to my premise . i was told that the password would be sent tomorrow . when i tried to connect it to my PC through the USB port ( it also has a RJ45 LAN port but i am using my own PC RJ45 LAN port for another broadband today ) the installation from the CD begins goes on and at the very last minute the message pops up " unable to complete installation . not compatible with your operating system etc etc " . i have windows XP SP 2 and have never had any problem installing programs , drivers using this particular copy of win XP SP 2 i have been using for 14 months . any advise please on how to resolve this issue ......

1.Wait for the BSNL password. Testing the modem. Use the PW ID of the other ISP in LAN port and test first. ( presume you have another ISP's BB )2. Uninstall all usb drivers in the computer. Start computer Let Windows detect and ask for drivers.You may get message drivers not digitally signed. Proceed with installation..Computer may crash.
