bsnl loves to enjoy rain , so it leaves the modem and me without it alone in this relationship , bsnl breakup with me whenever there is even a drizzle.. wind rain not even moderate , ffth will breakup , and even bsnl mobile signal breakup too . whenever the fiber breaksup , there will be no mobile signal too ,faint life i see .
i can understand too much bad weather can disrupt signals but why even ffth breakup with me ! dsl copper was working with lower speeds in rain! , but ffth totally shutdown i mean no internet access , pon light would be on .
they told fiber conversion wont mind weather but its the exact opposite happening, it loves the damm rain ! leaving me lonly all the time . they told fiber conversion wont mind the digging ,still the igors in frakenstein labs manage to rip off all the cables .
this rain and bsnl just can ever breakup ! ?
why is this even with fiber ...
does rain creates a fog in fiber lines that light cant travel

You should make sure the wiring is done in such a way that it does not hang anywhere. It is partly in the LCO and your hands.
I got BSNL FTTH in 2019, and the previous LCO did such a terrible job for namesake. The drop cable had to be taken to 3rd floor coz the ONT was going to be installed there. from the roof top he tethered the wire tangentially, like some sort of zipline (yeah it was like a zipline for the monkeys that were roaming in our town). Terrible job. Then we switched to another LCO because of the poor service quality from the previous guy. they were a lil professional as they released the tension and dropped the same wire along the building although exposed.

Recently I asked them again to help me and this time the wire was fully completely hidden inside the rainwater drainage pipes. Monkeys were searching for the wire to bite and whatnot.

Just make sure the wire is not given tension or left hanging midair.

i have inspected the cable - its straight from the pole to house - one turn through a hole in window - through the hall ,rings and rings of cable by lco staff , then to my room through the hole of my rooms doorway - then to white box - then from that yellow wire to my modem - its all good , no problem - it works flawless , amazing speed more than i should get 6.5MB/s when the plan is 5MBps - but then comes the rain - the mobile signal will go , taking away fiber along with for duet in rain ! 🤷‍♂️ .
until it comes to my first window to my home from the pole ,the cable is hanging midair - so should i ask for a pipe covering the fiber cable from the pole coming to my home ?
rain - pon light on - tel light off - no internet access - the network diagnosis tells configured correctly , there is no reply/responding from dns server.
rain stops - tel light comes automatically after a while - can take upto hour or more ,sometimes just few minutes - internet is back with good speed , these days download speed been very bad . high low high low .-- then got stable now tho .

I have the same issue ever since switched from the lco to bsnl's own fiber. When it rains, speed drops by 20-30%. I don't understand how fiber gets affected by rain.
