BSNL blocked my account for suspicious activity

Many people use VPN most of times. But never heard of any ISP banning customer's account. OP should tell what exactly happened. I dont think even torrenting will warrant such an action.

I think OP is hiding the true facts. He must have done something to raise an alarm, BSNL is least interested if someone uses VPN.

I downloaded a couple of movies and some games on torrent a few days before and used Norton's own VPN which comes with it's antivirus. Can that be the reason?
Anyway I will contact to the local sdo again and the officials. I will make a video of there statements and will link that video to this thread.

using torrent is not allowed ?
i do use it a a lot , downloaded big games like upto 60-70gb
never happened with me any my friends

once my connection was blocked when i forgot to turnoff my CCTV monitoring software , which was streaming heavily from my office.. it accumulated some high GB , continuously for some days..
but i got it released when i said the issue.

after that it never occurred. this happened when i got my fibre and within few months of usage.

According to OP, he uses only ~300 GB of data every month, which shouldn't raise any alarm. Which is why I think OP is hiding real facts.

In any case, he should be grateful that only the internet has been suspended, and he hasn't received any legal notice.

He's better off subscribing to a new ISP.
