If you ever used sify iway cyber cafes then you'll notice that they charge Rs. 15 on every 15min slots. So if you happened to use there service for more than 15min, say 18min then you'll be charged Rs. 30. Same with BSNL. They record/bill sessions based on 30min slots. So if you login at 7:55 and logout at 8:24 then you'll be charged ZERO cause the system records that particular slot from the time you logged in which is before 8:00, so technically it gets counted in free usage.But if you happen to logout at 8:26 which counts for 31min then you'll be charged for the entire session from where you started. This is BSNL double standards and fighting this out with the AO is a nightmare because they don't understand this sort of technical jargon. My advice is you don't apply this hack everyday else one of these days you'll end up getting charged for the entire 30min aka 450MB.
