bsnl broadband frequent connection drop solved

for last 2 months i was suffering from slow speed, low downstream snr(fluctuating between 0 and 6), connection drops. changed all my wiring inside home with cat 6 cable and from the bsnl dp to my home with cat 6 cable. bought new modem, new splitter . but nothing worked. called bsnl guys, je, sde, jto. they said that no issue with line, as your link is stable, snr value is of no importance. asked me to format my pc. but the morons could nt solve my problem even after pc format. after 2 months of harassment i called orissa circle GM and told my problem. he assured me to solve my problem. within 2 hrs one bsnl guy called and said he is going to change the PORT at exchange. before 5 pm my port had been changed and the bsnl guy called to confirm wheather my broadband working or not. i switched on the modem, all my line attenuation and snr margin had improved like a propelling rocket and i am back to my download speed of 205-215kb/s on utorrent. i am on fn 600 combo 2mbps plan.

I wish BSNL had a performance based bonus system in place so that junior officers would do what seniors have to force them to do.

On a 2mbps plan, your download speed should be around 250kbps.
The rate set at the exchange for you is too low (2047kbps). They need to increase it so that you can get 2mbps.
By the way - your line stats are excellent!! The exchange must be very close.

Where can I get contact numbers of GMs in my area cause my line sucks.
Should I contact GMs directly or first call BSNL low level authorities?
