frequent disconnection is due to server problem. there is no connection between this bridge to pppoe change.
If you want to change to previous, go to 192.168.1.1 and change it.

The filed indicated is blank when i configure in brigde mode. When the modem is rest to default settings ,it is filled with 117.199.0.1 and the Link led is on.But when i select the bridge mode, this filed goes blank and the link Led stays off.

Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : 169.254.234.163(Preferred)
This is not acceptable.
1.
Please see the sticky post WA 3002-g4 in this forum.
Try to make an "Always On" PPP/PPPoE connection.
( your user ID and PW to be entered in WAN page )

2. In router ( lan page )enable DHCP
Give range say 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1 .10

3. In computer:
seems you have Vista or windows 7
In network settings ( LAN as well as wlan )
Disable IPV6 box.
TCP/Ip properties
enable obtain Ip address automatically.
( or give Ip address within range above. )
subnet 255.255.255.0
4. If all Ok Back up router settings to say
C:/My Documents/ router wifi OK
then try "Dialer Mode"
Feedback please.
Only lan and wlan settings needed.

So when i tried dialing the broadband connection, it didnot work."It said that the modem reported an error 651"Is it because that iam already connected to the internet?. In bridge mode(Earlier)Before this, I used the option of dialing up the connection.I followed the instructions on the sticky thread(WA 3002-g4) for setting up dialing configuration(bridge). But my INET led on the modem stays off.In that state , when i dialed broadband connection, i was able to connect to internet, but the INET led was off all the time while i was connected to the net in bridge mode. Now (In PPPOE as per ur instructions)Now i followed what u said and configured in PPPoe mode, disabled IPv6 in Lan settings and enabled DHCP.I can access the internet, The INET led is on and blinks rapidly whenever i click a link or load a webpage. Is it any problem?Problems faced in PPPoe mode (before being instructed by you):Once i had done configuring in pppoe mode and there were several problemsEarlier I faced several disconnection issues in this PPPoe mode while downloading from link-removed and link-removed.The performance of torrent was bad in this mode when i tried earlier (the speed was fluctuating between 150kbps and 10 kbps within a minute) ,But now with the new settings, i havent tried downloads and torrents yet. i will post the performance of torrents and downloads tomorrow morning as i am a Home 500 user and use torrents at night. Thanks for helping me out.

This is the problem in PPPoe mode..i hav been getting constant speed(almost straight line) with the bridge mode(i mean whn i was dialing up)..Now the speed drop and rise every now and then.I suppose its not a problem with torrent, coz every torrent is behaving like this.
