BSNL Broadband: Problem with WiFi on Nokia Siemens Router 1600

@essbebe, I have changed the channel to Auto on Router 1600. It seems to have made a difference. The wifi signal has been alive for quite a while. My Wrt54GL is running tomato firmware and is setup to use WPA2/TKIP which is the same as Router 1600.

Also check the Adhoc B ( slow ) or AdhocG ( normal) modeoptions in WLAN card "advanced".

Try changing the preamble type , it may help
