BSNL Broadband Query

I'm using a bsnl broadband connection. I've noticed this strange thing a few times. I found out that the internet is O.K (with the modems dsl led ... lit and stable) when the telephone receiver has no dial tone. How is this possible? Some say it is not ... and I myself believe so.

Yes, you can access net even if you cannot make calls.

Yeah, its true.... you can access net even if ur telephone is dead(no dial tone). I have experienced it myself many times and even more it remains perfectly stable too....

yes,,, i have faced this same problem.. my land line phone is dead and broadband o.k..
but snr margin is low near 10.. after one day problem solved automatically and snr margin regain to around 30:wink:
