Hi Friends,Very interesting with BSNL chennai telephones...1. I had planned to apply DATAONE connection in chennai.2. I went to BSNL Chennai telephones office at station view road in Kodambakkam, chennai-24.3. They received with happy and explained about the tariff.4. I finally choose the Home UL 1350 Plus plan.5. They gave the application and i filled the same, submitted the gave immediately order copy(Note time was 04.10.2008 sharp 10.40Am).6. Also they explained up to Oct end there is no installation charges for telephone and broadband.(Total savings Rs.500+Rs.250=Rs.750).7. I came home at 11.00Am, what a surprised the Telephone Dept staffs came to my home at 11.20Am, the installed the phone and gave to me very good callers ID with back light with phone book latest telephone instrument.8. 11.50Am i recived call from my exchange(Vadapalani Raahat plaza exchange) asking my address, i told they said ok.9. 02.00Pm my telephone is starting to work, what a surprise!!!!!10. I really congrats to our exchange JTO Mrs.Chandra for the excellent work.11. Like Mrs.Chandra(JTO) BSNL staffs will surely compitete with other private.12.BSNL is now very very fast.... You have mentioned above BSNL land line and not broadband. I thought you are telling your broadband story. Here (in Pune) subscribers are made to wait at least 3-4 months to get a damn broadband connection.
Wanna hear my story? I also went to the CSC to apply for new land line. In my case, the lineman from BSNL was at my place before I could reach home. I was like :O
Next day I applied for broadband and got it activated on the same day.
Same applies for my 2nd land line!

:OIs this even possible!!!!!!!Well here's my story.....1. I apply for BSNL Broadband connection after I moved to a new home.2. I wait for a month before a guy comes and installs the phone.3. But as fate would have it, the installation is not correct and there is no dial tone(He said it would take a day to get the connection started).5. So i wait for 2 weeks and then explain the problem personally to the office:madness:.6. Two weeks later my phone finally starts working.7. A month later, I receive a call asking whether I would be home that morning so that the guys could come and install the modem.8. I wait for the people but no one comes that day.:frown:9 A week later the guys come and install the modem (ahhh finally!!!)10 Next i find out my speed is very slow.11. So I complain to them.12. A week has passed and still waiting for a reply........
