BSNL Broadband: Two Modem in one line

May I use two modem in same line? Because I want to use two computers in ground and firstfloor. I have only one telephone(BB) line.

connect both computer's through lan using switch ,connect this switch to your modem . now u will be able to use int. at same tine on both compters.............
there is no need for two modems

Presume you have a an adsl modem now.mention model and make.IF on rent exchange it for a type IV ( cost Rs 1600/= rent Rs 80 PM?)modem+router ( 4 computerscan be connected with Rj45 cable ) and WIFI for laptop etc.ELSE buy a wifi router Netgear WGR614V6 etc ( cost about Rs 1500 to Rs 2000)THEN connect Netgear ( first floor )with Rj45 from modem ( ground floor ).Para two : set up1Telephone junction ADSL splitter ==>>rj11===>>> Netgear ==> RJ45 Desktop.( ground floor )First floor (No cables) laptop or desktop with Wireless LAN card.Set up 2 :1.Take another rj11 connection for the phone to First floor.2. Use same modem and adsl splitter as as and when required.both can not work at the same time Cost Rs 50/-approx ( not concealed)3. same as above rent another modem from BSNL cost rs 50/+PM ( + adsl splitter cost about Rs 50?=)Set up 3:Use Usb port of your modem for ground floor computer.Rj45 to computer in First floor. ( cable cost )Mention your modem details company name/ modem number etc.

Use 8 port switch, u can connect upto 8 systems. :cool2:
Suggest for 16 computers also ! give model number etc.
