Hello,
I am a home user and I pay Rs.1350 per month.

I am using ADSL type 2 modem.
DNA-A211-1
BSNL Broadband very slow today for me.

Here is the speed test image:
https://www.speedtest.net

here is the adsl statistics:

Total ES: 0 3503719
Total SES: 0 3501757
Total UAS: 16 3501337

I cleared all temporary files using ccleaner.
I optimized connection using TCP optimizer. speed increased just a little.

when i tried to download a file, firefox just showed 7kb/s speed ( this file used to download at 60kb/s usually.)

My place is in andhra pradesh, prakasam district near ongole.

Please suggest me if anything is wrong in my connection etc..

let me know if you would like to know more info.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,Thank you for your reply.somewhere i read that changing the DNS to opendns may be helpful.can someone suggest me if it will be useful and if yes, what DNS should i use?Thank you.

Btw, I am new to BSNL broadband & newbie to this forum.
Here's my speedtest result: https://www.speedtest.net
I just have taken this test @ 10.33 AM IST. Speed is quite less than what I was getting yesterday, it was around 2.4 mbps & 70ms ping to Mumbai server. My plan is Home 500. :urock:

Thank you.

It wont effect on your internet speed. Somehow i shall slightly sped up page opening process. DNS just looks into page resolving & opening process. Internet speed is wholly dependent on ISP, other local conditions & health of servers you are being connected.

X2,

I'm getting terrible speeds! download speed is a little bit better but upload speed is 1kbps

btw My plan is 1350/- and I'm from Andhra (Guntur Dt.)

Edit:

Finally here is the speed test result

Hello,
Thank you for all your replies.
Speed came back again.
However, my internet speed is always like this:
https://www.speedtest.net

It never crossed 1mbps download speed.
and when I download something in firefox, it never crossed 60kbps.
can somebody suggest what may be the reason?
Thank you
