BSNL Broadband: When will 512kbps Plan become the starter Plan?

Just saw the Hindu News article, which said that AirTel will be doubling its speed for all the customers free of cost. And this is not a 1 month offer (like what BSNL is running currently for UL plans).

AirTel is also planning to remove the 256kbps plan and start its Broadband at minimum 512kbps.
