This morning I got an automated email from the BSNL Customer care:

===============
Dear User,
Your current Broadband Usage has crossed the free-limit of 2.5 GB.Your Service details are given below

Service-UserID: [email protected]
Current-Plan : Home 500 C+
Period of current plan considered : 01-JAN-10 to 31-JAN-10
(the free-limit mentioned above does not account for pro-ration due to suspension, reactivation, termination & plan-change)

Warm Regards,
Customer-Care Team,
BSNL Broad-Band Services

This is a system generated mail. Please do not reply back to this email ID

But I'm not used beyond 2.5 GB. My portal statistics prove this by showing less than 2 GB (2038 MB). (Provided the portal is updated till date and time)

The automated email came into my BSNL web mail ( @bsnl.in).

Please help, whether I should believe in the email or the portal. and can any one suggest me sop using the internet in the day time?

Also tell if anybody faced this..

Regards
Aditya

To be on safer side, don't use connection till next month. May the user page will be updated later. Once my usage on 1st was updated on 21 st.To avoid this in future, use shaplus bandwidth meter.

I got my bill today, Its normal. just 600 + service tax. I used 200+ MB after the email. Now on I'm gonna trust the PORTAL stats...

Where do we get the email. Will they send to yahoo email, that they bought while giving new connection.

i got the same email...exactly the same...and i never crossed used 1.5 GB limit but in the august month...the email says...that the limit of 2.5 GB is crossed on 6th of august...only 6 days...and i crossed 2.5 GB...i can't believe...and today it says 4 GB...what to do?Is anybody else is using my internet connection or is there any problem with BSNL?one more questionI have this same plan Home 500 C+so do I get 1.5 GB or 2.5 GB as free?

Good to know that your @bsnl.in Mail ID is in working state. This ID used to work for me before, but later it stopped working. How do I get my free Mail ID working?
