BSNL Download problem

Hey all....I am from pune and recently got 500 c+ plan from BSNL...I have a problem... The BSNL fellow installed the modem through USB...i wanted to connect it through Ethernet because i needed the USB Port.;..My problem is..I get around 190 kbps during free hours but it stops after sometime....becomes zero and the light stops blinking.....it starts again in like 30 seconds.....and again becomes zero after a some time...wats the problem ?? and also in my network connections window , it shows 'limited or no connectivity"... When i used USB it didnt show "Limited or low connectivity" but the speed problem was there(Light stopped blinking....Transfer rate became zero... blah blah)What should i do ?

Mention your modem model make/model.
This web site lists settings for some modems:
both in "DIALUP" mode
and "Always On " mode ( ID PW entered in modem )
The little I know about Dataone Broadband Services offered by BSNL

If you can post screen shot of ADSL data or extract
Mod selected/ SNR D/L U/L attn D/L U/L and line speed
post it here.

USB Port connection not usually preferred.

Also ipconfig /all data
Start RUN type cmd type ipconfig /all

Change your TCP/IP properties as shown below and try (Please note down the previous values)
