I am planning to take the EVDO connection but if it doesnt work(ie if no EVDO coverage is present at my house) can i change the plan to CDMA 1x? I think i read somewhere that i have to stick to this connection atleast for 3 months. Is that true?

No need to take on 3 months, better you take it on rental (Rs.200/month) for one month, if it won't work you can return. They will give you back deposit of Rs.1000/-

Initially you need to pay Rs.1000 as deposit
Plan is Rs.550/m + 200 (rental) +250 activation charges (one time only in first month).
Data trasfer: Unlimitted

if it doesn't get evdo..u ll automatically get 1x...but i am gettin some prob with evdo speed fr 1 day now...it seems it's in whole bangalore as in all areas it gave prob fr me..

Hi,I stay on the ground floor on 25th main in btm layout 2nd stage. do u think my house would have evdo network? is there any way that i can check if my house has evdo coverage? bcos i would then prefer taking bsnl broadband connection if no evdo coverage is present at my house.

there is no way to check that without using the device...c if u can arrange for one from a frnd or sm1

I'm on the 7th Main in BTM / Ground Floor - Poor signal strength often goes down to 1X from EVDO.
