BSNL EVDO in roaming

Hi,I had brought BSNL EVDO pre paid connection (Prithavi Modem UE100) a month back from Lucknow. It was working fine in Lucknow, I was getting EVDO signal, avg speed 510 kbps approx and rssi -74 dbm. Right now I am in Bangalore , here I am getting only 1x speed, avg speed 23 kbps and rssi -125 dbm (sometime -79dbm also). When I plugged my device first to laptop I get EVDO signal but after conneting it goes to 1x. Not sure why this is happening I heard Bangalore has a good EVDO signal. I tried to call BSNL cdma customer care on 1502; they told me to dail UP EAST customer care. When I dialed to UP east customer care they told me to dial 1502. Any thoughts on this.

Looks like signals are not that good where you staying. -125 db is no no for evdo. Try to move your device or location. Point the antenna where you get steady signals. It should not fluctuate.

Thanks cisco_tech but it seems where I am staying I will get only rssi either -125dbm or -79 dbm. Rssi is not fluctuating very frequently.
