BSNL FTTH LCO charging 4500 for new connection :(

@Jiharsh - Can you tell me which plan is this? I cant seem to find it.

Circle specific plan, it's there in Kolkata, not sure about others.

The armoured two pair cable i got costed me 7 rs per meter...thus for 200 meter,it cost me 1400 rs.
Please check your distance.
 
Actually i had pole just outside my house so no issue for cable and btw they told me they won't charge for cable.
 
@partymonger actually i had cable installed already but a segment of that cable( around maybe 100 metre) is destroyed by monkeys . but that LCO guy is not charging me for that 100 metre , he is charging for full 800 metre saying that it cannot be joined easily ... what the hell :mad:
 
@invisible007 - It can be joined from the two points where wire is not damaged. And can be tested to see if the joint is good or not. You can also check to see other providers. These bsnl operators have become greedy off late since people are becoming dependent on them. Which is why it is necessary to have competition.
 
A fibre cable can be easily joined....even bootle can be used over joints.It cost 300 rs only at max to join it....he is looting you.
Either tell him that cable will be yours exclusively or don't go with it.
