I was on 100 Mbps plan in BSNL FTTH plan.

NVR - DS-7P16NI

We have 8 IP 4MP cameras installed, but when I try to remote view it takes forever to connect, if it connects then the speed are slow for live view and only some load.

Note: I also tried live view from 4G connection, Jio fibre from my friends house, so my connection was stable and good in all conditions.

Even I did speedtest I get 100 mbps up and 50 mbps down.

I called the guy who installed cameras, he suggested me to buy static ip, even after buying static ip by paying hefty charge for static ip the result is same no improvement in live view.

Even I complained the BSNL, the lame technician came and showed me youtube(that it load 4k without buffer) and did speedtest and told me that there is no problem from them.

tragedy: I tried to ping "dev.sgp.hik-connect.com" I get ping more then 300 ms for the same.
But if I ping google.com or any other I get less then 10 ms.

PS. after changing my ISP to local one who only charge rs 400 per month, now I get instant live view without any lag.

also after switching to local ISP when I ping "dev.sgp.hik-connect.com" now I get 50 ms.

Did anyone face such issue?

Also no NVR settings where changed when I switched to local ISP.

I get a ping of 103ms

Sorry for the deviation.

I am actually looking for some ip cameras and nvr. Would be great of you could share the respective modle numbers and there price. Also from where did you purchase them.

1. Hik-Vission NVR(DS-7P16NI-Q2) [16 channel] costed me around 6-7K
2. Hik-Vission IP camera DS-2CD132P series comes with dome and bullet around 3-4K each
3. POE switch need to be bought separate to join and power all cameras.
3. Installation cost depends on the location and service provider, eg. if outdoor then outdoor grade CAT16 cable used if indoor then indoor grade cable used.

Note: for recording feature the NVR doer not come with hard disk, so you need to buy separate or if you have any spare then that can be used.

I bought and got installed from a local camera security provider.

for good configuration or more channel system it may cost more then 20K.

I have already done all the wiring , so no need for me to go to a security guy, will only buy the equipment and set everything up myself.
Thanks for the reply.

Hik Vision - Chinese brand
CP Plus - Indian brand

In current situation if you value more for country then go for cp plus

But if you value for money and features you may go for hik-vission

PS. also most of the features are same in both the brands but I have never used cp plus so I can't say more about it. But at the time when I bought the hik, many people suggested me for it.
