Is the PPPoE password change done via https://fuptopup.bsnl.co.in/ instantaneous? Is there any delay for change to take effect. If yes, how long? And is there anything else to be kept in mind to make this process foolproof?!
Sorry again for topic-hijacking the thread but I feel what discussed is somewhat relevant to the original topic.

I changed it, after 30 minutes internet went down, then I changed the password inside ONT.

And what all special characters are not accepted? Any idea? Does it accept an alpha numeric upper case lower case combination?

I don't remember sorry, probably won't. You can test by logging out and back in to the portal.

They don't have any conditions I think, you can use anything. It was "password" before after all.
